Kim Victoria Cattrall, born on the 21st of August, 1956 in London in London, is an British and Canadian actor from Canada and Britain. Her most well-known role was for her character Samantha Jones on the HBO show Sex and the City. In this role, she was awarded the Golden Globe Award for 2002 for the Best Supporting Female actress. She reprised her role as the lead on the Sex and the City (2008 and Sex and the City 2) (2010) films. The films also include Porky's and the Porky's of 1980 and her appearances as a character in Police Academy Big Trouble Little China Mannequin. Kim Cattrall comes to mind when you talk about her role as Samantha Jones on the hit HBO TV show Sex & the City. An acclaimed actress, Cattrall's portrayal as Samantha Jones has been a crucial event in her career. When she moved in the US she began acting in various films in small roles. Her first credited role was in the film Abbott and Costello Go to Mars in which she played a Venusian guard. The following year she was an unknown in Blood Alley she was awarded the Golden Globe in the most promising category.
